  • Description: Jonas, the lord of the manor, and Ahti the Finn have been close friends for years. When Jonas's sister is attacked by a gypsy, Jonas and Ahti come to her aid, and the gypsy is badly beaten. Soon after, a merchant is found murdered. Although the evidence against Ahti is circumstantial, and despite his pleas of innocence, he is charged for the crime and put in jail. Some time later, the gypsy admits on his deathbed that he committed the murder and framed Ahti. Ahti is acquitted and returns home.
